Qualification Schedule

Step 1: Online Qualifier

The ROOKIE SHOWDOWN Online Qualifier will consist of 3 online workouts announced from the 24th of February until the 14th of March. These workouts will be CrossFit Open workouts — announced on Thursdays at 12:00 NOON PST. So use the awesome community support of your local box, have fun doing the Open workouts, and submit your same score for the Rookie Showdown. The score submission deadline for all Rookie Showdown Online Qualification workouts will be the 24th of April.

 

 

These same workout scores are also valid for BLUE LIGHT THROWDOWN — a team competition for First Responders including Police, Medical, Fire and Military Forces.

Step 2: Showdown Event

We are looking forward to bringing the top 100 Rookies together for the ROOKIE SHOWDOWN Event — hosted on Saturday the 18th of June, 2022. This one day event will have maximum 4 workouts and will be located in Berlin, Germany. We are excited to include a Kids, Pre-Teen and Teen Division at the Showdown Event (no online qualification required).

Divisions

We want to celebrate everyone who would like to challenge themsleves and have fun at the ROOKIE SHOWDOWN!

Age Group Divisions

Kids // Ages 8-10

Pre-Teens // Ages 11-14

Teens // Ages 15-17

Individual // Ages 18+

Master // Ages 35+, 40+, 45+

**NO Online Qualification workouts needed for Kids + Teens**

Sport Division

Newer to CrossFit,

maybe this is your first competition! Yay!

You might be doing workouts with scaled movements and weights.

Some possible movements might be: Jumping Pull-ups, Knees-to-Elbows or Knee-Raises, Olympic Weightlifting style movements with Kettlebells, Dumbbells and Barbells with light weights.

Advanced Division

Some CrossFit experience but not yet ready for RX. You might be comfortable as an intermediate level athlete.

Some possible movements might be: Pull-ups, Toes-to-bar, Olympic Weightlifting style movements with Kettlebells, Dumbbells and Barbells.

Just choose what matches best for you and be ready for some fun!
